We have been interpreting native cultures and landscapes through sculpture for more than 34 years. Our connection to Nature and its inhabitants is evident in our large body of works concentrating on Wildlife and Native Cultures. Our main concentration has been on Endangered Species and the Ancient Pueblo and Anasazi Indians of the Southwest. Our forte is three dimensional Bronze and relief Bronze, with emphasis on public installation.
We are 34 year residents of New Mexico and own and operate our own studio foundry in the Ponderosa Pine-studded forest of the Manzano Mountains at 7200 feet elevation, south of Santa Fe and Albuquerque, where we have complete quality control over castings in Bronze from start to finish…including complete control over the foundry's timeline. Because we own the foundry, there is no limit to the projects we undertake.
THE SHAMAN SINGER SERIES ABORIGINAL YET CONTEMPORARY, MYTHICAL SINGERS… REMINISCENT OF ANCIENT ROCK WRITINGS, TOSSING THEIR HEADS BACK IN PRAYERFUL SONG. They are primal. They are stoic. They are visceral. They are Shaman. They are the Singers. Ho'toto, literally translated from the Hopi, Warrior Spirit who Sings. It is the Singer Series. Contemporary mythical Singers, each is a unique Bronze, 1/1, each in the deepest prayerful concentration, singing the sacred songs. And once again, Jan, the consummate patinuer, has out-done himself in creating an outstanding and original patina for each Singer. The patinas, like gemstones in the rough, are as rich and complex as the sculptures are simple. Approximate height 6' on powder-coated steel base.
