Artist Statement

Kevin was born in Oklahoma city and grew up in Oklahoma, Texas, Colorado, and New Mexico. He received a talent scholarship to the Columbus College of art and design and attended the University of Tulsa. “Learning to observe and appreciate the world around me through the arts(including stone, Clay, wood, water color, and oils) has given me a platform and direction to express my feelings.” His current focus is on relationships between the sexes. This translates into shape relationships and the meanings we equate with them. Kevin has lived in Santa Fe since 1989. He has shown his work in galleries across the southwest and both coasts, and has pieces in collections worldwide. Kevin has recently comleted several large-scale carvings for architectural commissions.
